The Hannah Lynn Art & Design Mission Statement: "To bring color, light, and wonder to people's lives in an uplifting, positive way, and to inspire and encourage young artists to believe in themselves enough to do the same."
I consider a day of chatting with fans and/or young people who look up to me, who don’t have a dollar to their names, a full, productive day of work. I believe that when you give of yourself fully, without the expectation of anything in return, something magical happens, and that energy multiplies and returns to you in some other way; maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow. But someday. I believe in Someday, and I believe in the beauty and power of Today.
Why would I feel it necessary to write a Mission Statement? Mission Statements create power and focus for the people that create them! It helps to solidify what you stand for, what you wish to accomplish, and why you are doing what you are doing. It also helps to set off an alarm when we have gone out of bounds by reminding us where the boundaries lie. If it doesn't serve the mission, it doesn't belong on the to-do list! Of course there are small graces to that, but this rings true for all professionals, no matter what profession or line of work you are in. Creating clear goals and focusing on them is what fosters real results. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. Be bold enough to dream, and then step out. Make mistakes, and learn from them. It's the only way we grow! <3
